Here are some pictures I took of my neighborhood fireworks this year. First time I've had a tripod to use, and it makes a difference when you're trying to use a slow shutter speed. I actually got some fireworks in the frame instead of just black sky! ;-)

My favorite two stanzas of "America the Beautiful":

O beautiful for pilgrim feet

More people need to read these other verses of "America, the Beautiful." The poem is about more than the beauty God has given. It asks for some strength of character, personal growth, and accoutability with all that we have been given!!! Great post, great pictures!
