Here's a picture of me and my daddy taken when I was 3 years old! It was taken on one of our many family vacations to the Great Smoky Mountains. In other pictures from this same vacation, I'm dragging around a stuffed black bear that I dearly loved.
I asked my sister to scan one of these old photos for me since I don't have a scanner. My niece Sarah did it for me, but her comment to my sister was "there aren't as many pictures of Aunt Bet as there are of you, Mom." I guess I fell victim to the second child syndrome. :-)
My dad (we called him Daddy and later Pop) died about 10 years ago. There are many times when I wish he were still here. But I have wonderful memories of him every day, not just on Father's Day.

I LOVE this picture, Bet! Thanks for sharing it. I, too, think very highly of your dad. He was a one-of-a-kind, wonderful person. :)

I can't believe I failed to comment on this post! I enjoyed the photo. These holidays are indeed a mixture of missing them but enjoying memories of them.
