The Oxford English Dictionary releases its latest edition today, and some interesting new words have made it into the lexicon. Feeling Eeyorish? I've actually never heard anyone use the adjective form of the word, but it's quite descriptive. I approve. :)
Other words making the cut for the first time include blog (!), 24/7 and bad-hair day. If you want your own copy of the OED, you'll need to shell out $2,862 for the 20-volume set.
"Eeyorish" is a great adjective! It's about time the OED caught up with the wisdom of Milne.
One of the blue donkey's best observations is this: Small applause is better than no applause, even if it's a bit lacking in smack.
What a philosopher!

Merriam-Webster just let out its eleventh edition. Kind of ironic timing, huh?
