I'm linking again this week to MsGreen Thumb Jean for another week of Bloomin' Tuesday.
Oops! It's been a week since I've posted. This has been a hectic week. I'm finishing up my online photography class with final shoots and a final exam. And this week I'm totally immersed in Media Camp, a week of introducing high school students to the joys of journalism. I'm exhausted and it's only Tuesday!
Oh well, here's what's blooming in my garden. It's been so hot that not much is happening except the crepe myrtles are starting their mid-summer showing.
Here's one of my crepe myrtles that was moved from the backyard to the front several years ago. It's done well, growing at least two or three feet since it was moved. Sorry for the washed out photo--it was not the right time to take this picture. The blooms are actually much prettier than they are showing up here.
And here's a planter box on the side of my back deck planted with portulaca. It's the first time I've used this flower in any pot, but it won't be the last. It has really withstood the heat this summer with minimal attention. Even when I forget to water it, it keeps blooming away!
And here's an extra--a little birdie who fell asleep at the bird feeder! How cute.
