Have you ever wondered why we love cubbyholes--cozy, little places where we can curl up and read a good book or just doze for a little while with no one bothering us? Sometimes for me, it's in my chair in the corner all covered up with a blanket. When I was in college, I'd either find a library corner where no one ever came or I'd take a blanket and sit down in the stairwell at the end of my hall.
I keep telling my sister that I really am an introvert because I'm not a big one for crowds or going out with a lot of people or going to parties, etc. If I ever do find myself in those situations, I'm always eager to get back home and curl up in my little corner.
Barney has a cubbyhole that he loves too. He gets under my desk when I'm here working on something. And he curls up. Sometimes he goes all the way under the foot rest/shelf and lies flat up under there. I have a little heater that blows warm air on him, and then he's in doggy heaven.
I'm feeling the need for my own cubbyhole just for a little while before I get up the get-up-and-go to do some things on my list for today. Hope you're having a restful Sunday.
(It's well-nigh impossible for me to get an unblurred picture of Barney. As soon as he hears the whirr of my camera, he moves.)
